AD-Vice February 2009 - Would other companies be willing to advertise for you for free?

Know your target audience. Who are your most important customers, clients or prospects, and why? For instance, if you have a business that sells family friendly products, wouldn't it be a nice gesture to give away a free ice cream coupon for the local ice cream shop. In turn the ice cream shop could give away a discount coupon for your establishment or another company which would give their customers a coupon for you. One hand rubs the other, a family rarely buys just one ice cream cone so the ice cream shop benefits from you advertising for them.

AD-Vice February 2009 - Co-operative Advertising

Over the last few months I have watched as many companies and business associates have struggled to make sense of what is happening to the economy. Oil prices dropping, the real estate market falling, and in talking to many retailers and restaurateurs their sales are at an all time low. Walking through the retail districts and malls you can see signs advertising sales of up to 75% off. Layoffs are happening all around us, even Tim Horton's is cutting back on their staff's hours. This however is not news to you, as you are probably in the same situation as everyone else.
